Collectivizm began in 2014 when three artists came together to test what a collective practice might look like. Instead of formal studio work, we took to the streets — walking, photographing, and making day books that captured fragments of the city.
Those first “Shoe Leather Photobooks” set the tone: lo-fi, immediate, and rooted in shared process rather than individual authorship. |
Influenced by Dada cut-up methods, psychogeography, and the raw energy of Provoke-era photography, we sought to make work that was both experimental and grounded in lived experience.
Over the years, Collectivizm has published eight photobooks and nine limited-edition tins, alongside a zine London Speaks. Each project adds to an evolving conversation about collaboration, chance and the photobook as a space for ideas. |
